ALTIMA @ AnimeCon 2013 in the Netherlands!

Anyone can read English, so to everyone who is reading this: ALTIMA IS COMING TO THE NETHERLANDS!!! They will attend the AnimeCon 2013 convention in the World Forum in the Hague, that’s damn close to where I live! On the evening of Saturday 1 June they will also will perform. The whole AnimeCon convention takes place from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June. I expect that it will be possible to get a signature and maybe there will be something else, I don’t know because it hasn’t been announced yet but I’m sure there will be something else too.
Either way, I’m definitely going on at least Saturday now. I really like ALTIMA not only because the group is awesome but also because sat from fripSide is in it, and let fripSide be my favorite group. It’s like my wish come true, if all three of them (Maon Kurosaki, motsu and sat) are coming that is.

For people who don’t know ALTIMA: they’ve done the ending themes for Shakugan no Shana III named “I’ll believe” and “ONE” and the second opening theme for Accel World named “Burst The Gravity”, and the accompanying “B-sides”.

fripSide: endless memory ~refrain as Da Capo~ lyrics

I couldn’t find romaji lyrics of this song anywhere on the internet so I decided to do them myself. This song is much too catchy so I wanted to have it in romaji for easy reading.
If I am right this song will be used as the opening theme of the visual novel Da Capo III R (some re-packed version that will be released 2013 it seems). It seems a bit strange to me to release it before the game is actually released, but oh well.
On January 6th the anime series for Da Capo III started, but because I don’t know anything about the series yet I will be skipping it.

B-Train Shorty Keihan 600 series K-ON! livery

Recently Bandai released a so called “B-Train Shorty” model of the Keihan 600 series in K-ON! livery. The B-Train Shorty series are basically shortened (duh) versions, in other words: chibi size. The other sizes are 1:160.
Now, this was my first ever B-Train Shorty kit and while I had some misadventures (and the flaw in design didn’t help either) it wasn’t all that difficult to assemble. Below I’ll show you what I did to make it look like it does in the picture above.

The box:

Nice pictures on the box. Below you can see the contents of the box; the parts are in sealed plastic bags and there’s a sheet of high resolution replacement stickers to put over the printed characters on the train to improve the look of the model. I let them be because I’m lazy.

After using a hobby knife to cut off the parts from the casting mold you get this:
(the total amount of parts is this twice because it’s a two car train, each car has a different livery)

During assembly:
(note that the black pin underneath has to point downwards otherwise you can’t attach that gray thing at the front)

When trying to put together the roof with the antenna on the first car a problem occured. Maybe they forgot that the K-ON livery version also has an antenna, but the front doesn’t have a gap for the red marked part in the roof to fit in.

Cutting the red marked part out of the roof did the job, as you can see it fits perfectly now:

The other car doesn’t have an antenna as you can see, so assembling that one was much easier as you can see:

The result is not bad I think. It’s a nice display model for me, but it is possible to motorize it and run it on N gauge track if you want.

fripSide – Decade (nieuw album)

Al een behoorlijke tijd terug aangekondigd, maar nu eindelijk wat meer duidelijkheid. Op 5 december 2012 komt het nieuwe album “Decade” van fripSide uit. Het heet “Decade” vanwege het 10-jarige bestaan van fripSide en de “main song” is een duet van Nao en Yoshino Nanjo. Hieronder de track list:

Nieuwe song van Hyadain

Little Busters! PV’s

Even een kort bericht met de previews van Little Busters bij elkaar.

De eerste PV die rond de aankondiging van de anime in maart werd geplaatst, en die ik al eens eerder postte:

De derde en waarschijnlijk laatste PV uit september, welke meer laat zien van de animatie die ook echt in de anime zelf te zien zal zijn:

Ik ben zelf nog een leek met Little Busters, maar omdat Key erachter zit wordt ik ook wel een beetje gehyped. De eerste en laatste PV laten zien wat ik (en waarschijnlijk iedereen) op het eerste gezicht verwacht, maar de tweede PV laat zien dat er blijkbaar ook een totaal ander gezicht aan deze op de visual novel gebaseerde anime zit.

Hopelijk levert J.C. Staff met Little Busters vanaf zaterdag 6 oktober 2012 mooi werk af.

Natsuiro Kiseki bestickering op trein

Op YouTube kwam ik een video tegen van een trein met bestickering van de anime Natsuiro Kiseki. De anime heb ik nog niet gezien, al ben ik dat wel van plan. In ieder geval geeft het ook een heerlijk zomers Japan gevoel met het mooie weer en de cicadas op de achtergrond, hopelijk mag ik dat zelf ook nog eens meemaken.

Tari Tari: Enoshima

Regelmatig valt het op dat plaatsen in anime en manga zijn gebaseerd op werkelijke locaties, maar toen ik de opening van Tari Tari zag was dat wel echt overduidelijk.

Google Streetview geeft misschien een nog iets duidelijker beeld.

Ikigami manga

Voor m’n eindexamen heb ik onverwachts de eerste volume van Ikigami in het Nederlands gekregen van een oom. Ik ben niet zo’n fan van Nederlandse vertalingen, maar het is beter dan niets toch? ^^’
Ik heb het even doorgebladerd, het klinkt erg spannend en origineel (nou ja, in een bepaald opzicht) en de tekeningen zijn erg tof. Als ik weer eens in een paar uur in de trein zit of iets dergelijks gaan we het maar eens aandachtig lezen.
