Dus, vandaag kwam er een hele leuke verrassing (nou jou, verrassing was het nou ook weer niet) binnen. Een week of twee geleden heb ik namelijk de fripSide PC game compilation vol.1 (een hele mond vol) en een drietal anime kalenders besteld, eentje van The iDOLM@STER, Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai en Hanasaku Iroha wel te verstaan. Dus meteen begonnen met uitpakken.
Dus, ik dacht er pas aan om een verslagje te schrijven nadat ik had zitten klieren met een mes om het open te krijgen, dus op de eerste foto is te zien hoe het eruit zag toen ik dat had gedaan. Ik heb trouwens besteld bij CDjapan.

Today a package came in by post. A week or two ago I ordered the fripSide PC game compilation vol.1 and three anime calendars from Japan. The calendars are from the The iDOLM@STER, Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai en Hanasaku Iroha series, which I really like. After it arrived I immediately started unpacking it, wouldn’t anyone do that? ;)
I totally didn’t think of doing a little review on it before I had opened the box, so at the first picture you see how it looked like after I opened it and after I got rid of the packing materials. I ordered from CDjapan by the way.

fripSide PC game compilation vol.1

De fripSide CD zal op een later tijdstip nog worden besproken, ik heb eerlijk gezegd nog niet eens de kans gekregen om het te beluisteren. Wel even een paar plaatjes van de verpakking.

I will review the fripSide CD at a later moment because I haven’t even listened to it yet. Even though I took a few picture of it.

Kalenders / Calendars

Ik heb alleen nog de KamiNomi kalender uitgepakt. De tekeningen zijn er mooi uit en het is de kalender is lekker groot (42×62 cm), maar het enige minpunt is dat je de pagina’s eraf moet scheuren om de volgende twee maanden te laten zien. Als ik het dus volgend jaar zou willen hergebruiken gaat dat dus in ieder geval lastig worden. Natuurlijk kunnen ze ook met andere hulpmiddelen worden opgehangen, maar het is erg onhandig. Ik zou liever hebben gezien dat ze een ringband hadden gebruikt.
Uiteindelijk ben ik toch wel tevreden erover. Ik heb geen zin om elke pagina hier neer te gooien, dus heb ik alleen de voorkant neergezet, met bovenaan de scheurrand. De pagina moet tussen het witte ophanggeval en de afbeelding zelf worden afgescheurd.

I have only unpacked the KamiNomi calendar yet. I really like the drawings and it’s pretty big (42×62 cm), but there’s one downside to it and that is that you have to tear the old pages off. So if I would want to reuse it next year, with wrong dates of course, it’s a bit of a no-go. Of course the separate calendars could be put in some kind of frames, but it’s a bit of a hassle. I would have preferred if they would have used something like a ring binder.
But overall I am mostly positive about it. I won’t put pictures of every page here, so here’s a picture of the front of the calendar, which is actually not part of the calendar and could be used as separate poster when torn off. The calendar has to be torn off between the white thing and the picture itself.

Edit 23 April:

Eindelijk heb ik een paar foto’s gemaakt van de andere kalenders. Als eerste die van iDOLM@STER, met de plaat van maart/april, uiteraard met Sakura. Ter vergelijking een foto van de rest van die muur met posters uit Aniway die ik geplastificeerd heb.

Finally I made some photos of the other calendars. First the iM@S one, at the moment on the March/April one with Sakura trees in the background. For comparison I made a photo of the wall where I’ve hung it.

Hieronder links de Hanasaku Iroha plaat van maart/april en daarnaast de voorkant van de iDOLM@STER kalender die ik nadat ik hem eraf gescheurd had, los heb opgehangen door die hang gevallen (geen idee hoe die heten).
