Today a package came in by post. A week or two ago I ordered the fripSide PC game compilation vol.1 and three anime calendars from Japan. The calendars are from the The iDOLM@STER, Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai en Hanasaku Iroha series, which I really like. After it arrived I immediately started unpacking it, wouldn’t anyone do that?
I totally didn’t think of doing a little review on it before I had opened the box, so at the first picture you see how it looked like after I opened it and after I got rid of the packing materials. I ordered from CDjapan by the way.

De fripSide CD zal op een later tijdstip nog worden besproken, ik heb eerlijk gezegd nog niet eens de kans gekregen om het te beluisteren. Wel even een paar plaatjes van de verpakking.

I will review the fripSide CD at a later moment because I haven’t even listened to it yet. Even though I took a few picture of it.

Kalenders / Calendars

Ik heb alleen nog de KamiNomi kalender uitgepakt. De tekeningen zijn er mooi uit en het is de kalender is lekker groot (42×62 cm), maar het enige minpunt is dat je de pagina’s eraf moet scheuren om de volgende twee maanden te laten zien. Als ik het dus volgend jaar zou willen hergebruiken gaat dat dus in ieder geval lastig worden. Natuurlijk kunnen ze ook met andere hulpmiddelen worden opgehangen, maar het is erg onhandig. Ik zou liever hebben gezien dat ze een ringband hadden gebruikt.
Uiteindelijk ben ik toch wel tevreden erover. Ik heb geen zin om elke pagina hier neer te gooien, dus heb ik alleen de voorkant neergezet, met bovenaan de scheurrand. De pagina moet tussen het witte ophanggeval en de afbeelding zelf worden afgescheurd.

I have only unpacked the KamiNomi calendar yet. I really like the drawings and it’s pretty big (42×62 cm), but there’s one downside to it and that is that you have to tear the old pages off. So if I would want to reuse it next year, with wrong dates of course, it’s a bit of a no-go. Of course the separate calendars could be put in some kind of frames, but it’s a bit of a hassle. I would have preferred if they would have used something like a ring binder.
But overall I am mostly positive about it. I won’t put pictures of every page here, so here’s a picture of the front of the calendar, which is actually not part of the calendar and could be used as separate poster when torn off. The calendar has to be torn off between the white thing and the picture itself.

Na de proloog komt de opening. Die is zó gaaf, echt fantastisch. Ik kan hem wel eindeloos beluisteren.

Net voordat de eerste schooldag begint voor Kouichi wordt hij ziek en moet hij in het ziekenhuis worden opgenomen. Daar komen de klasvertegenwoordigers die hij nog nooit heeft gezien langs en doen een beetje argwanend. Wanneer zij weg zijn (het is niet echt duidelijk welke dag het nu is), neemt Kouichi de lift naar een andere verdieping en staat er plotseling een meisje achter hem met hetzelfde uniform als dat van de school waar hij naartoe gaat. Het gesprek gaat erg stroef en ze stapt uit in de kelder, waar het lijkenhuis is. Vlak voordat ze weg loopt zegt ze dat haar naam Misaki is, Mei Misaki om precies te zijn.
Wanneer Kouichi eindelijk naar school kan, vindt hij dat de klasgenoten zich erg raar gedragen alsof er een geheim is dat hij niet mag weten. Terwijl de klas aan het gymmen is, zit hij Misaki op het dak van de school staan en gaat naar haar toe. Ze was blijkbaar iets aan het tekenen, maar wilt het niet laten zien aan hem. Ook zegt ze dat ze zelf iets met het “geheim” te maken heeft en dat hij haar maar beter kan ontwijken. Op de weg terug naar huis ziet Kouichi haar nog even langs de weg staan, starend naar de lucht.

Dan de ending. Deze klinkt best wel aardig, maar is niet echt zo bijzonder.

Verder is de animatie echt heel goed, P.A. Works heeft al veel fantastische animaties afgeleverd, kijk maar naar Hanasaku Iroha of Angel Beats. Ook de muziek, en dan niet alleen de opening, maar ook de achtergrondmuziek is zó goed en passend, dat ik alleen maar tevreden kan zijn. De ending vind ik persoonlijk niet heel erg passen.
Een interessant en spannend verhaal en erg goede animatie en muziek dus, dat belooft veel goeds. Overigens wordt de anime 12 aflevering, dus light novel telde trouwens ook maar 1 volume.

Cijfer: 8.5/10

Just because I love this pairing, I wrote a fanfiction about it. I don’t feel like writing a certain scene in detail, so I leave it to your imagination. I also made a version with colored text to clear up misunderstandings about which phrases belong to which character.
I know it’s kinda clichéd and not really good written or anything, but it’s my first fanfiction and writing a story ever. Any comments on it are of course welcomed!

Fanfiction By Ovindel

I, Haruka Amami, am an 17 years old idol working at 765PRO. For the last months I’ve been working at this place with many other girls who are, just like me, aiming to become a top-idol. Our first job was at a little stage in a small rural town with just some dozens of people watching, but last week we did our second huge concert together with everyone at a very large stage with hundreds or maybe even thousands of people looking at us while we were performing our greatest passion.
Today I’m at the office together with Chihaya Kisaragi, 16 years old, one of the idols I’ve been working with and one of the idols I’m the closest with too. It’s been one month since the second concert as a team. Working is almost done.
‘Chihaya-chan!’
‘What is it, Haruka?’
‘Let’s go home together!’
‘Okay.’
So, after saying bye to everyone and walking downstairs, we started our walk. When crossing a street via a pedestrian bridge, Chihaya asked me something, something that would have much more of an impact than I thought at first.
‘Haruka.’
‘Yes, Chihaya-chan?’
‘Would you mind going to my apartment? I have something I want to talk to you about.’
‘That’s good. Should we go then?’
‘Yeah.’
And so we went to Chihaya-chan’s apartment.
‘It’s still the same situation as when I visited last time, Chihaya-chan. Shouldn’t you unpack your stuff once? We should make your place a bit more cozy.’
‘You don’t have to, Haruka.’
‘Yes I do, you’re my friend and your house shouldn’t look like some kind of warehouse, it has to be nice and cozy and girly.’
When I said ‘friend’ Chihaya’s face changed a little bit, but I didn’t mind that and started to clean the shelves before putting stuff on it. I said to Chihaya that she should start unpacking her stuff so that I could put it away after I was done cleaning.
After cleaning for half an hour in a row, Chihaya started to talk to me.
‘Haruka.’
‘Hm. What’s the matter, Chihaya-chan?’
‘I…’
‘Hmm…?’
‘I love… I love you!’
‘…?
Huh?’
‘I… I’ve loved you ever since you approached me at that time even though I was still acting so weird at that time. When thinking of you my heart starts pounding. I really think I’m in love with you.’
I– was perplexed. And maybe not just perplexed, since my whole body turned so hot. I think what Chihaya saw at that time was a girl who was blushing even at places where she didn’t know it was even possible. I was so ashamed I started looking at the floor, though that didn’t really didn’t help.
I didn’t know what to do at all. I mean, she’s a girl and my friend; I don’t even know even if I am into girls and she’s one of the best friends I have.
‘Haruka…’
‘Chihaya-chan…’
…
‘W– Would you mind going out with me, Haruka?’
My heart started pounding even more.

In front of me stood Haruka, blushing and shyly staring at me. I just finally told her I love her, I’m really serious about this and it seems Haruka understands that too. I didn’t know what to do either, since I never experienced something like this.
After some time, Haruka walked to me and said: ‘C– Chihaya-chan, do you really love me?’
‘O– Of course. I really love you so much’
‘You know, actually…
actually… I think I love you too, Chihaya-chan.’
‘Huh?’
‘I love you too!’
I think that moment, I felt the happiest I ever was in my live.
Then Haruka moved closer to me, she slowly embraced me and moved her face closer to my face.
‘Chihaya-chan, I love you.’

When Chihaya told me she loved me, I think that was the moment I fell in love with her. Firstly I honestly didn’t know what to do, but after sorting out my feelings I was sure that I actually fell in love with her.
After I told Chihaya I loved her, I kissed her passionately. Maybe 1, 3 or even 5 minutes passed while we were kissing. Then I slowly moved my hand to Chihaya’s breasts.

After our first night together, we went to the office holding hands. When we arrived, Miki stood in the hallway.
‘Huh? Why are you holding hands?’
I said: ‘Since we’re lovers now.’
‘W– What?! But, but you’re both girls!’
‘That doesn’t matter, right, Chihaya-chan?’

Katie van style:fripSide is van plan om te kijken of er mogelijk een community kan worden opgezet voor het J-pop unit fripSide, waar ik al vaker posts over geplaatst heb. We zijn weer aanbeland bij het volgende seizoen anime, Winter 2012. Wat zijn we hier blij dat we dat mogen beginnen met Amagami SS plus, in het logo staat + plus maar dat lijkt me onnodig. In elk geval, dit tweede seizoen van Amagami SS, jammer genoeg maar 12 afleveringen lang in plaats van de 25 afleveringen van seizoen 1, gaat verder na de gebeurtenissen tijdens kerst van seizoen 1. Junichi Tachibana heeft zijn liefde dus al gevonden en in dit seizoen zullen er waarschijnlijk meerdere moeilijkheden op zijn pad komen.
In de eerste aflevering gaan we verder met het verhaal van Tsukasa Ayatsuji, en nogal getypeerde jongedame met een gesplitste persoonlijkheid. Als personage sprak ze mij al in seizoen 1 erg aan, waarin zij overigens als laatste aan de beurt kwam. Aan het begin van de aflevering zien we Junichi in zijn dromen fantaseren over leuke dingen in de badkamer, jammer genoeg voor hem onderbreekt zijn imouto hem tijdens zijn droom omdat hij eens naar school moet.

Dan krijgen we de opening voorgeschoteld, net zoals die van seizoen 1 gezongen door azusa en ook deze klinkt echt heel tof.

Op weg naar school komt hij Ayatsuji tegen, om ons meteen te herinneren aan haar gespleten persoonlijkheid. Daarna wordt aangekondigd dat over een week die nieuwe ‘student council president’ wordt gekozen. Blijkbaar voor Junichi doet Ayatsuji mee en heeft ze hem gekozen als vice-president. Tussen de menigte staat Kurosawa die zich ook verkiesbaar heeft gesteld. Het lijkt alsof ze Junichi leuk vind. Tussendoor kregen we nog Sae Nakata in een school swimsuit te zien. Junichi besluit om een foto te maken van Ayatsuji en daar een poster van maken en op te hangen in de school om meer stemmers te krijgen, maar als ze ziet hoe hij erbij staat is begint ze een beetje boos te worden. Na wat heen en weer gedinges en nog een evil Ayatsuji face besluiten Kurosawa en haar gezelschap een plan in werking te stellen. Ze lokken Junichi naar Kurosawa, die met dit gezicht heel duidelijk een andere bedoeling heeft dan je in eerste instantie aan denkt. Ze probeert hem te verleiden en te verleiden. Junichi duwt haar niet weg, maar laat haar doorgaan, waarschijnlijk onbewust, maar toch. Ze wilden ervoor zorgen dat Ayatsuji precies zou zien dat ze zouden zoenen, om haar af te schrikken, en dat is toch wel aardig gelukt.

Ook de ending is gezongen door azusa. Jammer genoeg heeft niet elke heroine haar eigen ending zoals in seizoen 1, maar dat mag de pret niet bederven want ook deze is heerlijk om aan te horen. Aan het begin werden we overigens getrakteerd op een mooi uitzicht vanuit een park dat in seizoen 1 een belangrijke rol speelde.

De preview heeft precies dezelfde achtergrond als in seizoen 1, dat geeft een nostalgisch gevoel eraan. Ook de muziek tijdens de preview is hetzelfde als in Ayatsuji’s afleveringen in seizoen 1, dat is zo’n fantastische melodie.

Al met al een top begin aan een tweede seizoen waar ik al lang naar vooruit keek. Het enige waar ik me zorgen over maak is dat er voor elke heroine nu maar 2 i.pv. 4 afleveringen zijn, dat lijkt mij wat kort.

Cijfer: 8.5/10

En natuurlijk een fijne kerst voor iedereen!
